Testing and certification of respiratory face masks

IIRT offers a comprehensive set of tests for surgical face masks and general-use medical masks. These tests are essential to ensuring performance properties to support marketing label claims and to classify these mask types, additional tests may be required depending on label claims.

• Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE)
• Particulate Filtration Efficiency Test
• Splash Blood Resistance Test
• Mask Efficiency test with bacteriophage ΦΧ174, Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus)
• Flammability Test
• Flame Spread – Class -1 or Class-A
• Breathability Test
• Delta P.mm H2O/cm2
